Nodeul Island - An artificial island in Han River
"Nodeul Island (노들섬)" is an artificial island in Han River. It is located under the "Hangang Daegyo (한강대교)" which is a bridge connecting Yongsan and Noryangjin in Seoul. It is surrounded by Han River.
Nodeul Island became more famous as this place is a filming location of K-Drama "Start-Up". The story of drama "Start-Up" is that young people who have a dream of success try to start working at start-ups at Sand Box. which is the Korean Silicon Valley.
In the drama, you can see various scenes outside the Sand Box and those scenes are mostly filmed at Nodeul Island.
Nodeul Island is a cultural and music complex and a great place for picnic. It is in the middle of Seoul's Han River and also called as Nodeul Seom. There is an ecological park so visitors can experience a rural life at small farms in Nodeul Island.
There are also various photo spots so many visitors are taking pictures of a beautiful view around the Han River.
There are some concert venues, restaurants, bookstores, convenience stores, plant ateliers and lounge bars in Nodeul Island.
As Nodeul Island is a perfect place for a picnic and to visit a cultural and music complex, you may visit here and enjoy a calm vibes in the middle of hustle and bustle Seoul's Han River.
