As you may already know, "Bibimbap (비빔밥 in Korean)" is one of the most popular dishes in Korea and we are going to show you a famous Bibimbap restaurant in Seoul today. Bibimbap is the rice mixed with vegetables, hot sauce and other ingredients.

The Bibimbap restaurant that we are going to show you today is "Mokmyeoksanbang (목멱산방 in Korean)" and is famous for Bibimbap, Pancake and Dotori Muk (Acron Jelly). Mokmyeoksan is the old name of Namsan Mountain.

 

 

Mokmyeoksanbang started in 2009 and was originally located at Namsan Park but moved to a new place near Namsan where the location is more convenient and easier for visitors to find than before (Address: 71, Toegye-ro 20-gil, Junggu, Seoul, Korea).

 

 

There are no car parking spaces in the building so you may need to find a car parking lot near the restaurant. There are several car parking lots near the restaurant such as Namsandong Public Car Parking and Korean Red Cross Car Parking.

 

 

The main menu at Mokmyeoksanbang is Bibimbap and there are several kinds of Bibimbap in this restaurant. You can find Sanbang Bibimbap, Thistle & Soy Sauce Bibimbap, Bean Curd & Soybean Paste Bibimbap, Bulgogi Bibimbap, Chicken, Poached Egg, Soy Sauce Bibimbap and Beef Tartare Bibimbap.

 

Besides Bibimbap, there are several kinds of delicacy menus as well such as Seafood & Chive Pancake, Acorn Jelly with Vegetable Mix, Cheese & Kimchi Pancake, Tender Pork Bossam Style Meat, Smoked Chicken with Seasoned Vegetables and Sanbang Beef and Rice Soup.

 

Alcoholic beverages of Bibeouju (Rice Wine), Soju and Cheongju and traditional beverage of Sweet Rice Drink are also available in the restaurant.

 

 

Opening hours are from 11:00 to 20:30 and there is a break time from 15:00 to 16:30. You can see that Mokmyeoksanbang is a "Michelin Guide Restaurant in 2017, 2018 and 2019".

 

 

When you order your meals at Mokmyeoksanbang, you will get an alarm bell and when the meals are ready it will ring and let you know to take your meals from the counter.

 

In the photos below, you can see Thistle & Soy Sauce Bibimbap, Bean Curd & Soybean Paste Bibimbap, Acorn Jelly, Cheese & Kimchi Pancake and traditional beverage of Sweet Rice Drink.

 

Not only the Bibimbap but also the Cheese & Kimchi pancake is greatly famous in this restaurant. You may regret if you just order Bibimbap at Mokmyeoksanbang. Acorn Jelly is another delicacy for you to try in Korea and here is the place for you to try this food.
