Sohojung - A restaurant where you can try Andong Guksi and Gukbap
Sohojung (소호정 in Korean) is one of the famous restaurants where you can try Andong Guksi (안동국시 in Korean) and Andong Gukbap (안동국밥 in Korean).
There are several branches in Korea - Main (Nonhyeon-ro Seocho) branch, Daechi (Yeoksam-ro Gangnam) branch, Starfield Hanam branch, Songpa branch, Gangnam (Seochodae-ro) branch, Yeouido branch, Coex branch and so on.
"Andong" is a place located at North Gyeongsang province in Korea and "Guksi" is a dialect of Guksu which means noodles. Andong is the origin of these noodles and it became famous in Seoul as well. Andong is also famous for Jjimdak (Braised chicken with soy sauce) that I showed in another posting. (You can refer to the related posting at the link below)
Andong Guksi is a beef-based noodles that is very similar to Kalguksu (Noodle soup) that I posted a few weeks ago (Please refer to the link below for the details). Andong Guksi is also one of the favorite food that many Koreans enjoy for their meal as Kalguksu.
In Sohojung, they also serve Andong Gukbap which is a beef-based soup with rice. It is one of the best menu in Sohojung as well.
Also, "Suyuk (수육 in Korean)", the boiled beef slices are the menu that you can enjoy with Andong Guksi or Gukbap. There are also some restaurants that are famous for Suyuk only but you can try both the Andong Noodles and Gukbap and also the Suyuk at the same time in Sohojung. I will introduce a nice Suyuk restaurant in my posting later on.
