Samyang farm in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do
Today, I am going to show you a nice large farm that you can also find thousands of sheep and cows in Korea.
It is called Samyang Daegwalleong Farm (삼양 대관령 목장 in Korean) which is one of the Korea's largest farms with animals. Samyang farm is a great place for you to relax on the green pasture with animals. It opens at 8:30 in the morning and closes at 17:30 from May to October and opens at 9:00 and closes at 16:00 from November to April.
Admission fees for adults are 9,000 KRW, fees for minors are 7,000 KRW and fees for seniors or disabilities are 5,000 KRW. Fees for babies younger than 35 months are free. Discounts are applied to group of 30 people or more.
As you can see in the photos, the farm is very large with animals grazing on the green pasture. You can enjoy shepherding performance and feeding experience in this Samyang Farm.
Shepherding performance is the sheepdogs gathering the sheep that are spread all over the pasture. There are performance hours that starts at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 on weekends and at 13:00 and 15:00 on weekdays. The shepherd performance is shown from May to October. Sheep feeding experience opens all year and calf feeding is available from May to October. There are also ostiches feeding experience which opens all year.
You can walk around on this wide grassland and have a look at various kinds of animals such as sheep, cows, ostriches and others.
This organic grassland is a wonderful healing place for you to relax. You can also walk along the five zones of wooden fence trail in Samyang farm. Five zones are Hill of the Wind, Rest in the Forest, Memory of Love, Walk in the Pasture and Rest of Mind. You should experience at least one of the fize zones to enjoy Samyang Farm.
