10,591 people confirmed as Coronavirus cases in South Korea

There are 10,591 people confirmed as Coronavirus cases in South Korea as of Wednesday. The number of new cases are 27 from the previous day. The number of daily new cases are in double digits for several days.

 

However, the government is cautious as there are still several imported cases of Coronavirus infections and cluster infections. Furthermore, there are high possibilities of Coronavirus spread as many people are going to the voting place to cast ballot for parliamentary elections on April 15.

 

Since April 9th, the daily new infection cases fell below 50. 39 people are confirmed on 9th, 27 people on 10th, 30 people on 11th, 32 people on 12th, 25 people on 13th and 27 people on 14th.

 

From the new cases on Wednesday, 11 people are confirmed as Coronavirus infection cases in metropolitan area. 5 people are confirmed in Seoul and 6 people are found as Coronavirus cases in Gyeonggi province.

 

Additionally, there are 6 cases in North Gyeongsang province and 1 case in Daegu. 1 case is confirmed in Busan, Gwangju and Jeju, respectively and 2 cases are confirmed in Gangwon. No additional new cases are found in Incheon, Daejeon, Ulsan, Sejong, North Chungcheong province, South Chungcheong province, North Jeolla province, South Jeolla province and South Gyeongsang province. 4 Coronavirus infection cases are detected through the airport quarantine procedures.

 

The total number of 8,171 cases are confirmed in Daegu and North Gyeongsang province - 6,823 in Daegu and 1,348 in North Gyeongsang province. 1,350 cases in total are confirmed in capital area - 617 in Seoul and 645 in Gyeonggi province and 88 in Incheon. 

 

The death toll stood at 225 since 3 more people died from the previous day. The fatality rate is 2.12 percent. The number of people who are released from isolation from full recovery are 7,616 as there are 82 more people who are fully recovered from the previous day. The recovery rate is 71.9 percent.
