Covid-19 Vaccines for 44 million people will be secured in South Korea

The South Korean government says that they will secure Covid-19 vaccines for 44 million people which are more than the number of Covid-19 vaccines that they previously planned of 30 million.

 

They have completed pre-orders of 20 million doses of AstraZeneca's vaccine and will secure vaccines for 34 million people with other global vaccine companies such as Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen.

 

According to officials from the Health and Drug Ministries and the Korea Disease Control Agency, prepurchase of 20 million doses of AstraZeneca's vaccine are completed and they have legally binding agreements for 20 million doses of Pfizer's and Moderna's vaccines and the agreement for 4 million doses of Janssen's vaccines is to be finalized soon.
